According to the recent report by The Playlist, academy award winner Matt Damon (Elysium; Bourne Trilogy; The Departed) has joined the cast of Interstellar. The actor will be taking on a small role in the film, which also stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain,Casey Affleck. Damon's role in the film is not yet disclosed. Though, it is possible that he is taking on the part that actor Irfan Khan was offered. Irfan Khan weeks ago revealed that why he had to turned down a role in Interstellar. More on that you can

Sources close to Damon are claiming that the actor will be shooting only for two weeks in Iceland. Chris Nolan is currently shooting in Canada with
McConaughey,
Casey Affleck,
Michael Caine,
John Lithgow,
Jessica Chastain and
Mackenzie Foy. Interstellar is scheduled to hit the screens onNovember 7, 2014.
